10. Reflection: Describe your most challenging moments in this class. How did you use growth mindset ideas to work through the challenges? Give 2-3 well-developed examples with specific supporting details. Reflecting on your experiences, how do you perceive writing in English now?

     The most challenging part of this class was writing essays. I am not good at writing, which is why I chose to take this class. It has been a big challenge for me. As a second--language student, I do not have numerous of vocabulary as native speakers, and I do not know the rules for writing essays. Write a perfect essay is really difficult. To be honest, there were many times I wanted to give up. However,  Ms.Lee, our professor, always encourage us. She often reminded us not to worry if our first paper was not perfect, because we are still learning and practicing. I told myself, " just keep going-- don't give up. It will get better as I practice." I have carefully read all of the teacher's feedback and try to figure out how to improve.  I also joined the tutoring sessions to get extra help, ask questions, and review my work. In addition, I also read the books to learn more vocabulary and try to understand how strong writing is structured. Through this semest...

9. Paper 3 - Include the first draft and the final draft with a reflection on your writing process. Share a meaningful lesson from this process.

final draft      After reading Professor Lee's feedback, I realized that I made many mistakes in paper 3. Therefore, I reviewed the assignment requirements and revised my paper by connecting Professor Lee's feedback with the expectations for paper. Through this writing process, I finally understood the format of "work cited" and "in text citation." I also reviewed the structure and argumentative methods of academic writing.

     In paper 2, I still had problems with unclear language, incorrect punctuation, and the improper use of the first person to express opinions. With Professor Lee's feedback, I further learned the basic principles of essay writing and better understood the mistake I made.

FIRST DRAFT FINAL DRAFT Reflection on my writing process This is my first essay, in fact, I am not really know what can I do. First, I try to reread the all of article that I've learned in class. Second, I made the topic what I choose. Then I try to use the quote from I've learned in class to try to support my topic. The big challenge is how to paraphrase, cite sources correctly and format correctly when quoting materials. A meaningful lesson from this process is after teacher point my mistake, I can realized how to use the correct cite sources format.

6. Evidence of Paper Rewrite Reflection (Wrapper)

  After reading all of my paper feedback from Professor Lee. I realized that I have not yet fully grasped the techniques and methods of writing.  I don't clearly express my arguments, and i also mad mistakes with punctuation and sentence structure. With the help of the Professor Lee and tutor Losia, I gradually corrected my errors. I understand that I need more time to review what was taught in class and to read more books in order to improve my writing skills.

What was your takeaway from the experience?          Meeting with our DS, Loisa Chen, was a valuable experience. I asked her all of my questions, and she responded with clear, thoughtful answers. She patiently answered my questions, and meeting with Losia was very helpful for my learning.

3. Evidence of attending one Writing Center Workshop

  I have attended writing center workshop on May 27, 2025. We are reviewed the conquering_commas together. First, the tutor show us of about 7 rules of comma usage, and what a comma is. Second, we do the practice together. It is helpful us to remember and do the better job.

2. Completed Writing Center DLAs and Tutoring Sessions (2 minimum)

I have attended tutoring sessions with Loisa. These tutoring sessions help me for more understand how to write the correct essay. Through these tutoring sessions I know what is the rule for thesis statement, how to made a good thesis statement, and what is mean of topic sentence, supporting details, concluding sentences.  This is a very great and helpful tutoring sessions.
